[ James Shea, This drawing originally appeared in the 1880 newspaper coverage of the Donnelly murders. It is reprinted in Donald L. Cosens, ed. Authorities arrested James Shea, an older man, for the murder of the Donnellys, but he was released. Shea worked for the Maher family.
