Intelligence from Lucan last night states that a young man named Charles Welch, belonging to this city, was tried before Squires Stanley, Crunnican and Hutchins during the afternoon, on the charge of carrying unlawful weapons. A revolver, dirk and razor were found upon his person. He was convicted fined $40 and costs or two months in jail. Thomas Donnelly and Wm. Walker were arrested during the evening for fighting on the public street. It is about time steps were taken to stop this lawless conduct.
