Geophysical instruments can be used to read the soils below the surface. In this way, archaeologists can locate features buried by centuries of activity. There are many different techniques, including ground penetrating radar, magnetometers and electrical conductivity meters. The outline of an 11^th century hall at Glaumbær in Iceland was detected with a ground-penetrating radar instrument. Can you trace the outline of the hall?
