[...] Sailing north along the shore [from Hóp] They [...] came to a headland thick with deer [Old Norse dyr which can also mean ‘reindeer’ or ‘animal’]. The point looked like a huge dunghill, as the deer [dyr] gathered there at night to sleep. They then entered Straumfjord [...].
