April Monday 3 1899

A.M. Telephoning for baby’s party. Long walk. From 4.30 to 6.30 we celebrated baby’s birthday. A cake with one candle was cut by the child herself with assisting! Thirty of the family were collected in so short a time & all went off well except that Mama was not well enough to be downstairs.
