Honorable Ministre of Justice Ottawa

Acknowledged Nov. 25th, 1925.

Honorable Sir
I beg to be allowed to place before you my plea for release from this institution

I have now

served nearly six years of my sentence and feel very kindly keenly the separation from my children. all of whom are still very young and in-need of my care

My husband who lately by your gracious mercy was released from St Vincent de Paul penitentiary is very anxious to have me home so that I may care for my family

We intend

to take up our life in a new community hoping that our sincere efforts and by God help we will live as good and honourable citizens

My brother who is

a resident of Three Rivers Québec would be very glad to help us estiblish our home with him there

During my period of

confinement here I have succeded in careying out the wishes of those in authority and have been rewarded by the knowledge that there is not one offence report against me and feel sure that report of my work will also meet with your favour

I am in good health and will endevous in every way to be a good mother to my children

Honorable Sir I hope and pray that you will give my case your consideration and will feel able to extend mercy I promise that you will never have cause to regret that you have granted my release

Thanking you for your past kindness time

I remain your humble servant
Mary Gagnon
