[Prison Record Book, Kingston Penitentiary, 1861]

[ Stone Shed at the Kingston Penitentiary, 1875, Prisoners cut stones in the stone shed at the Penitentiary.  It was difficult work and punishment books reveal prisoners were often caught talking in the stone shed, which was forbidden.  This illustration is a detail of a larger picture that originally appeared in The wife of the convict James Donnelly again came to see him [allowed?] this second interview between them
