Verdict

[ View of the Courthouse in London, Ontario from the West, Unknown, University of Western Ontario Archives Stock Photo (#485 on reverse) ]THE JURY in the Biddulph case failed to agree, notwithstanding the strong charge against the prisoner by Judge Armour. Seven were for acquittal, four for conviction and one undecided. They were at once discharged, and matters now stand as before the trial. It is to be hoped that the case will be settled shortly, as it is manifestly unfair to keep so many men imprisoned and away from their families and farms on a charge that may never be proved against them.
