[ Photograph of the First Page of a Letter from Aemilius Irving to Charles Hutchinson, 27 May 1881, Unfortunately, over time, many of the letterbooks are becoming difficult to read since the ink is bleeding through from one side to the other as can be seen in this picture. Photograph was taken in August, 2005 at the Archives and Research Collections Centre, University of Western Ontario. [...] I see Donnelly got interviewed yesterday; I send newspapers with report. It is interesting as showing conditions of things in Biddulph. There is no doubt every man has his plan of defence ready, well fortified by strong swearers, who will prove whatever is necessary. After all I am not sorry they have to go before a Middlesex Jury.

Truly yours,
Charles Hutchinson, Cty Atty
