Irving, Aemilius

[ Aemilius Irving (Lawyer for the Prosecution), Photograph source:  George Wilkie et al. Born in 1823 in England, Aemilius Irving was a Liberal, and a member of Parliament in the 1870s. A forceful lawyer as well, Irving acted as crown prosecutor for both the first and second trial of James Carroll. Despite his abilities, Irving did not succeed in getting the venue of the trial changed, nor did he get a conviction of any of the accused.
