Donnelly, Thomas

[ Thomas Donnelly, By Permission of Ray Fazakas, Unknown, Private Collection of Ray Fazakas  ]Born in 1854, Thomas Donnelly was the youngest of the Donnelly boys. He never married. From an early age, Thomas (or Tom as he was commonly called) had many dealings with the law. As a stagecoach driver he became embroiled in numerous skirmishes and he was charged on several occasions with assault and robbery. He left Lucan for a time, but returned home only to be arrested. On the night of February 4, 1880, Thomas was killed by the mob that entered his parents’ home.
