My dear Glass,

Queen vs Donnelly

Criminal witnesses are never paid until after trial, when witnesses for the crown are paid on the recommendation of the Crown counsel & order of the judge. Of course I can not get any money for such a purpose, except in the ordinary way. If the judge will give an order for their payment, after the trial, they will then get paid. I will undertake to bring the matter before him then.

Yours truly,
Chas Hutchinson Cty Atty

D Glass Esq, QC
