Dear Sir,
Officer Thos Thompson of Cleveland Ohio writes me that a man named Hyland has stated in the presence of responsible persons that he knows all about the Donnelly murders.

Do you know any one of that name? If so, was he in Biddulph at the time of the murders, and has he since gone away? Would he probably be concerned in the murders? You will have heard that the place of trial is not to be changed. The judges would not listen to us.

Yours truly,
Charles Hutchinson, Crown Atty

Mr. Wm. Donnelly
