Donnelly Headstone Offered to Lucan

By Permission of Robert Salts, Unknown, Private Collection of Robert Salts  ]LUCAN — The Black Donnellys' headstone removed because hordes of visitors damaged the churchyard in which it stood for 84 years, last night was offered to the village of Lucan.

F. G. Carter, lawyer for the Roman Catholic Diocese of London, made the offer on behalf of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, which has recently suffered considerable damage from crowds of up to 1,400 sightseers a week coming to see the monument.
