Louis Langlois dit Traversy and Marie-Françoise Thomelet, his spouse, are employed by Thérèse de Couagne at her farm on côte Saint-Michel, on the island of Montréal. They were not in the city on the night of the fire, but provide testimony as to the character of the accused.
