aged thirty-two years or So wife of Louis langlois traversy Tenant Farmer residing On the farmstead of the deceased Sieur de francheville at Coste St michel [...]

Deposed [...] That having at times found herself with the said Negress Exhorting Her to Be a Good christian And Act well, Adding that If she did not Appease Her Mistress, she would be sold, the said negress Replied that if her mistress sold her She would Sorely Repent, she would have Her Burned, and she who deposes, Saying to Her that if she Did So, she would be hanged,

she would Die. And the said Negress Replied Laughing that this Was of No Concern to her; that some Days following her Return from her Flight with the named thibaul, She who Deposes, having asked the said Negress named angelique If Her Mistress Had Beaten Her for her Deed, She replied no, she holds no Spite, I will Recompense Her Well; and it Is all that she is said to Know. [...] And having Requisted salary, we requited her with fifteen Sols
