Executed

Yesterday morning at 7 o'clock the sentence of death was executed upon the Indian. Itch-yst-atis, who was convicted of the murder of Mr. Robinson , on Salt Spring Island. The body, after death was pronounced to have taken place, was delivered up to his friends for burial, who conveyed it over to the Indian Reserve, and throughout the greater portion of the day a great wailing was kept up by the kindred and friends of the deceased. The body was interre on the reserve, after the custom of the natives.
