HAROLD MILLS REDPATH

Harold was born on November 9, 1873, the fourth child of Ada Mills and John James Redpath. We know nothing about his education; unlike Peter and Clifford, Harold did not attend McGill University. It is equally unclear what career Harold pursued.

He married Alice Watson July 22, 1897 and moved to 355 Olivier Avenue in Westmount. In April the following year his first child, Elizabeth Grace (Betty), was born at home. Three more children followed: John in 1901; Peter in 1903; and Hugh in 1911. Harold and his family summered in Georgetown, Quebec, where he had purchased the Merriman farm in 1901 and renamed it “Bonnie Brae.” They were regular summer residents of Georgetown until 1910.

Harold died at Saanich near Victoria, British Colombia, on December 26, 1948.
