August Thursday 11 1898

At ten went to the station to see Mama & Peter off – M. clung to me, feeling too ill to be left so there & then I made up my mind to go with her. I don’t think any one ever went to Saratoga with so few impediments before, not even a pair of gloves. At Plattsburg we were found by Cliff looking so much better for his stay in the Adirondacks. We reached Dr. Strong’s Sanitarium about four & were glad of a rest.
