[...]P.M. to convocation in the Windsor Hall. Cliff looked very nice in gown & hood as he went up to get his B.C.L. degree. For me the only other attraction was Captain Mahan who was given an honourary degree & favoured us with an address. The proceedings were very long, the hall was very close, & the students made a horrible racket.[...]
