The Right Honourable Edward Cardwell
Sir,
My son Robert Pollock was one of the number who was Murdered at Bute Inlet in British Columbia by the natives on the 30th of April 1864.
I received the inclosed judging from its contents and Postage unpaid. I am not [most] disapointed at receiving no farther word from Mr. Waddington.
Please be so good as let me know if you could effect a settlement of the same or advise me how to act.
