Robert Bishop

Robert Bishop, Esquire (b. 1842-43, still living 1872), was a farmer, merchant and Justice of the Peace in Sandy Cove, Nova Scotia. He was called a master mariner in the birth records of his daughter Flora (1868) and son Boyd (1870), a mariner in that of his daughter Isabel (1872), and a ship captain in the 1871 census of Nova Scotia, when he and his family appear in the household of his wife’s widowed mother.
