Notes: For Mission Erebus and Terror 2015, the first job was to carefully clean the kelp from the wreck of the HMS Erebus. In this photo, Parks Canada underwater archaeologist Charles Dagneau removes kelp from around a circular glass illuminator on the upper deck. Illuminators are like small windows that direct light to the interior of the ship.
