David Glass Esq, QC
Dear Sir,
I am surprised to hear that you now decline to proceed with the cases in which Thomas Donnelly is concerned. I don't know that I can compel you to do so, but it amounts to this, that I will not trust you again in any arrangements whatever. On the strength of your agreement, I have gone to the expense of having the witnesses subpoenaed, & they are all here, & will have to be paid. Such a breach of faith is all very well for the time, but you may depend on it, I'll bear it in mind.

Yours truly,
Charles Hutchinson, Cty Atty
