McGrath Family

James McGrath joined the Vigilance Society and was allegedly part of the mob that killed the Donnellys. McGrath testified that John Purtell, who worked on their farm and lived with them, did not leave their home the night of the Donnelly murders. James and his family were killed in a railway accident at the end of 1880.
