West, Francis

An amateur sleuth, Francis (Frank) West came to Lucan and pretended to be a friend to the Donnellys. He brought the Feeheleys and their role in the Donnelly killings to the attention of the authorities. In 1881, Francis West attempted to burn down the Stanley-Dight grist mill. He claimed William and Robert Donnelly burned down the mill, but they were acquitted.
