Dear Sir,

I had hoped to do without Mrs. Donnelly's evidence, but find it necessary, for the purpose of proving that she saw you peeking out of the window immediately after the firing. [...] Bring in the threatening letters. I think I have a clue to one of them & would like if possible to make an example of the writer.
