Donnellys and the Thompson Cow Case, 1879
William Thompson sworn. I live in the township of Biddulph on Lot 17 in the 6 Concession. I lost a cow from my place [...] I then went to Squire Stanley and asked for a Search Warrant to search sections of Donnellys farm. I had good reason to suspect the Donnellys.
I went in on the Donnelly place near the Board fence [...] Donnelly never said anything to me, John Donnelly said that there was no stolen cow in his place, but that we might go and seach the place [on our] own [...]
