The Biddulph Murder.

As was reported in last night's ADVERTISER, true bills were returned against Jas. and Wm. Feheeley. The Grand Jury were occupied with the case from early in the day till 3 o'clock p.m. The details of their finding are as follows:

GRAND JURY BILLS.

The Queen vs. Wm. Feheeley — Felony — abetting the murder of Thomas Donnelly. True Bill.

The Queen vs. James Feheeley — Felony — abetting the murder of Thomas Donnelly. True Bill.

The Queen vs. James Feheeley — Felony — abetting the murder of John Donnelly. True bill.

THE PRISONERS

were now brought up from jail, handcuffed together, and arraigned, pleading "not guilty." Neither of the brothers have changed materially in appearance since the Magisterial examination some months ago. They were arraigned separately.

Mr. H. Macmahon, Q. C., for the defence, announced that they were ready to proceed with the tiral.

Mr. Irving, Crown Counsel, arose and stated that the Crown would not be ready to proceed till the next Assizes.

[...] Mr. Irving, Q. C., declined to go into any explanations that might cast reflections on the case, but the Crown lacked a material witness (James Hogan), for whom every possible search had been made for the past ten days, but without avail. They were therefore not prepared. This was not such a case as would permit him to yield to the demand of his learned friend.

[...] This ended the discussion, and the prisoners were sent back to jail. [...]
