Appeared Sieur Estienne volant de Radisson Colonel of the Militia of the government of Montreal, first witness heard at the Information done by Us at the Request of the King's Prosecutor, to Whom, after he Took the oath to tell the truth, we had a Reading done of the Deposition made by him at the said Information, and after having heard it he stated it to be truthful, not wishing to augment or Diminish any of it; A Reading done to him of the present re-examination he stated that it Contains truth and persisted on it, signed And Requested no Salary.

had a Reading done of the Deposition made by Her At the said Information and having heard it she stated that it is truthful, adding that when the said Negress Looked Toward the Roof of the house of the said deceased Sieur de francheville, She went to stand right Against The wall of the Courtyard of the hospital On the other Side of the Street And that there was an ill Soldier at the hospital, whose hand was wrapped up, at the door of the said hospital who could See The said Negress as Well as She could; And she had Nothing More to augment or Diminish. [...] she signed by the Name of Manon, not Knowing how to Write or sign otherwise and Explaining to Us that If She did not want to sign her Deposition At the Information [on the 14 of April] it was because she Thought she had to sign the name
