Judgement to file a writ by public Cry against the Said thibault in 15 days.

Sealed in Montreal 6 May 1734.

To All those that the Present Letters will reach, Greetings. We, Pierre Raimbault, King's counsellor, Lieutenant General Civil et Criminel at the seat of the Juridiction Royale de Montreal, Issue the ordered writ by the King's prosecutor and Our order Signed the Eleven of April last And the Charges And Information gathered at the Request of the said King's prosecutor Against Marie Joseph Negress Slave of lady francheville and the named Thibault both accused of Setting Fire to the house of the said Lady francheville And Having Caused thereof the fire of a part of This city On the night of the ten to eleven of the said Month, Interrogations of the said Negress the twelve of the said month of April, the third and Six of This Month Content [containing]

her Confession, avowals and denial; the report of the search of the person of the said thibault by the bailiffs Marchand and de Coste on the twelve and thirteen of the said month of April, Conclusions by the King's prosecutor.

All such Considered, We have ordained that the said thibault Be Summons a fortnight And by a Sole public Cry to eight days, his Possessions seized And Remanded to the Commissioners, And that Nevertheless the Witnesses and others who could be heard anew will be Reexamined and If necessary Confronted with the said Negress, this to Be done notwithstanding whatever opposition or appellation, and without prejudice, and all to be Communicated to the said King's prosecutor

and by Us ordain that it be Done as is required.
