Procedure relative to an execution.
ALL Judgments on criminal matters calling for execution, will be executed in terms of the punishment, in all places without permission or Officialdom.
JUDGMENTS will be executed the same day they are pronounced.
IF some woman prior to or following being
condemned to death, appears or declares to be expectant, the Judges will order that she be visited by matrons, who will be officially appointed, & who will formulate their report as prescribed under the Titre des Experts, as per our Ordinance of the month of April 1667. And if she is pregnant, the execution will be deferred until following the birth.
The Sacrament of Confession will be offered to those Condemned to death, & they will be accompanied by an Ecclesiastic to the place of execution.
